An ankle sprain is the same whether it was acquired playing sport or not. However, the key difference is that a sportsperson may require a more intensive approach to rehabilitation in order to get them back to their chosen sport safely and effectively, as compared to a person that is more sedentary. Our sports-specific therapists can provide the appropriate treatment and sport-specific exercises to get you back to your chosen sport safely and effectively.
We often use technology such as game ready ice compression units , Squids , power meter , force plates , foot scan where necessary to ensure biomechanics and power deficits are indentified and restored for a safe return to sport.
Our therapists have one the most extensive experiences in Kent both in competing and working within elite sports, including international /national teams and events. We currently sponsor The Kent & Medway Medical School Football Team , Provide Screenings for TASS athletes (Talented Athlete Sponsorship Scheme) in conjunction with Canterbury & Christchurch University and teach on the University of Bath Sports Physiotherapy Masters Degree which has students who have gone onto work with some of the most elite teams and events around the globe.
