Core Stability & Pilates

Core stability /Pilates has become very popular over recent years, with millions of people worldwide partaking in this form of exercise. It dates back to the early 1900s, when it was founded by Joseph Pilates. Today, we use many of his original exercises and principles when teaching this form of exercise. Controlled, flowing movements, coupled with breathing techniques, help to focus on specific muscles to improve imbalances and realign the body. In addition to improving your posture, you will also gain strength and flexibility.

Core Stability & Pilates

Many doctors, physiotherapists, osteopaths and other health professionals recommend Pilates as an ideal form of exercise, whether to assist with recovery after an illness or injury, or just to maintain health and fitness levels.

Clinical Pilates

At Team Buckley, we offer one-to-one clinical Pilates. As with many forms of exercise, there can be contraindications, so it is important to devise a tailor-made programme that works around any specific physical and postural problems, and which stabilises, strengthens and stretches problem areas in a safe and effective way.
