Osteopathy in Canterbury

Osteopathy is a recognised, hands-on form of treatment that uses the assessment of biomechanics, function and posture to diagnose and treat a wide range of problems with joints, muscles, ligaments and nerves.

Osteopaths are trained extensively in the areas of anatomy, physiology and pathology.

The profession is regulated by the General Osteopathic Council and recognised by the British Medical Association. Osteopath is a protected title that can only be used by registered practitioners.

Osteopaths are highly skilled manual therapists who use a wide range of techniques to reduce pain and restore as much as possible normal function. Osteopaths are often known for specialising in neck and low back back , however, they can treat effectively a wide variety aches and pains.
